Shopping guide

A small cup born from the everyday coffee culture of Catalonia.

"Tallat" is a way of enjoying coffee popular in Catalonia, made by adding a small amount of milk to an espresso. It is known as "cortado" in Spanish. You may have seen this name on a cafe menu before.

Designed with the enjoyment of a Tallat in mind, this cup is a compact piece measuring approximately 7 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height. It is a convenient vessel for when you want just a little coffee or for a cup after a meal.

Anna's Commitment

It is crafted using Izumo clay, which has a warm, reddish hue.

The upper portion is finished with a soft, matte white glaze, while the lower portion is left unglazed to preserve the natural color and texture of the clay itself.

White and reddish-brown, glaze and clay skin—the design allows different colors and textures to meet naturally within a single vessel.

The traces of the white glaze flowing from the rim are also embraced as part of the cup’s character rather than being overly perfected.

Enjoying a daily cup of Tallat, beloved in Catalonia, from a vessel made with Japanese clay. This cup is where Anna's roots and her craftsmanship in Japan naturally overlap.

About Handmade Ceramics

Because each piece is handmade, there are individual differences in shape, size, the shading and flow of the glaze, and the appearance of the clay.

In particular, the drips and boundaries of the white glaze vary for every piece. Please enjoy these unique differences as the distinct characteristics of hand-crafted work.
