Collection: Kanti

We are pleased to introduce our collection of "Canti," traditional vessels from Catalonia. These are traditional water jugs from Anna’s homeland. Originally, Canti were used for drinking water; in the Mediterranean climate, moisture would seep through the unglazed terracotta, creating a thin film of water on the surface that naturally cooled the contents.

Taking Japan's humid climate into account, Anna has redesigned them to be suitable for any environment by applying a glaze to the interior. They come in various shapes and sizes, reinterpreting the utility and beauty of the Canti. Traditional elements such as the handle, the spout, and the contrast between the earth and the glaze colors have been preserved.

These vessels can be used as vases for ikebana, as interior decor, or in smaller sizes, as water pitchers. They are currently available for purchase at the Tocoton ceramics studio and the Osaka pottery shop "DandeliOn."
