Ceramics Tocoton turns one year old!
We are very excited to be able to share this news with you, as it means that the studio is one year old, and we would not have made it without the support of each and every one of you.
One year ago, on July 2nd, we inaugurated the studio. We had been preparing the space for months, so that everything would be ready to start giving classes and making our own work. We knew that we would have to work hard, but we could never have imagined that we would receive all the help you have given us to carry on, nor could we have imagined that our project would interest so many people.
This year we have organised regular pottery classes, workshops in other centres, special one-day workshops, workshops for travellers, as well as producing pieces that are now sold in the studio, in other cities in Japan and in Barcelona. In addition, we have continued to update the online shop and blog, and we have not been absent from the craft markets in which we usually participate.
We are proud to be able to share so many moments with you through ceramics, and whenever time permits, we spread the word through our social networks. This way, you can see the atmosphere of the studio, the pieces we make and all the events we offer you.
Throughout these months, many of you have approached us to ask about our activities, to place an order or simply to visit the studio and chat for a while. This exchange is one of the most beautiful parts of our work, as it allows us to get to know you and it is always a positive experience.
For the second year of the studio we want to continue to enjoy your company and create new pieces to be used in your homes. That is why each month we will continue to offer workshops and classes, as we think of new activities. Many of you receive our monthly newsletter, where we introduce you to new works, special workshops and invite you to read the latest blog article we have written. For us, writing the newsletter is to be aware of the path our project is taking, as there is always content that talks about what we have done before (in the form of a blog or presenting a piece) and what is to come (proposing activities and inviting you to workshops).
With this message, we can only thank you for your support and your desire to stay in touch with the world of ceramics. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Ryo and Anna
