Hello everyone.
We are launching a crowdfunding campaign starting Saturday, July 2nd!
This is a project to support Anna, who came from Catalonia, Spain, in opening her own ceramics studio and workshop in Osaka.
As we have shared on Instagram, we have been preparing for this ceramics studio for about a year now.
However, setting up a ceramics studio requires a significant amount of money.
Costs for an electric kiln,
glazes, clay, electrical work, ventilation installation, and more.
Thanks to social media and our website, we have been selling our ceramic works and sharing this world with others. Our greatest wish is for our work to reach as many people as possible and to convey to you all the charm of clay that we feel so deeply.
As many of you may already know, we are an international, LGBTQ+ couple. Although Anna wants to live in Japan as a ceramicist, we are unable to legally marry.
So, we started a company. However, if we don't turn a profit, we will be forced apart.
Given this situation, we decided to launch a crowdfunding campaign. With the help of our friend Yumi and the READYFOR team, we have been working on this for several weeks. If we can reach our goal, Anna’s visa can be renewed next year, and we can continue our ceramics studio, Tocoton, and our life together!
For Anna to have her own studio,
to create pieces that blend the cultures of Japan and Catalonia,
and to be here in Japan, in Osaka,
is her ongoing dream and goal.
